Six Straight to Close It Out

The Fleas came to Denver at 4-7-1. Three days and eight games later, they left at 10-8-2, with six wins in a row.

The final weekend of the 2025–26 PIHA Pro season didn’t start well. Friday night at the Pepsi Roller Sports Arena, Colorado Springs took both games: 5–4 in overtime, then 5–3. That dropped the Fleas to 4-8-2 with six games left.

Then they didn’t lose again.

Saturday began with Lakewood. The first game went to overtime before the Fleas won it 3–2; the second was a 5–0 shutout, the second of Patrick Pugliese’s season. That evening, against the Denver Demon Dogs, they won 3–1 and then 8–5.

Eleven on Sunday

Sunday brought the Parker Royals and the biggest score of the Fleas’ season, an 11–4 win. The finale was tighter, 4–3, but the result was the same.

Across the six wins the Fleas scored 34 goals and allowed 15. They arrived in Denver 14 goals underwater for the season; they left at 74 for and 72 against.

Where It Leaves Them

The Fleas finish their first PIHA Pro season 10-8-2 with 30 points, fifth in the West and three points behind Denver. Zach Hoffman led the team with 20 goals and 33 points; Aydin Schwetz added 15 goals, seven on the power play; and Pugliese started every one of the 20 games.
